Murad Al-Katib

Since founding Saskcan Pulse Trading in 2001, Murad has grown AGT into a world leader in value-added pulses, staple foods and pulse ingredients for markets around the globe. Murad has been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards including the recent “Oslo Business for Peace” Foundation Honouree (2017), Ernst and Young “World Entrepreneur of the Year” Award (2017), Ernst and Young “Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year” and “Prairie Entrepreneur of the Year” (2016), United Nations Association of Canada “Global Citizen Laureate” Award (2016).

Murad is a Board Director for Protein Industries Canada. Currently, Murad resides on the Board of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and is the Chair for both Economic Development Regina and the Government of Canada’s Economic Strategy Table for Agriculture and Food. Over his career he has served on the Boards for the Canadian Special Crops Association, Pulse Canada, and various trade, commerce and transportation committees.
