Darnell Holt is Protein Industries Canada's Student Intern.
Originally from Irma, Alberta, Darnell completed his undergraduate degree in Agribusiness at the University of Saskatchewan and is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Agriculture and Resource Economics, specializing in understanding consumer interactions between long ingredient lists and product-derived qualities in the context of pea-based proteins. Before interning with PIC, Darnell worked in all facets of the agriculture industry, including growing up on a cattle ranch, grain farming, and working for various ag retails as a summer student. Although from Alberta, that does not stop his love for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and generally all sports. Darnell can usually be found playing, watching, or creating stat models dedicated to hockey, football, and baseball in his free time.
