Jill McAlister-Lane

Jill leads the communications, government relations, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs functions at Protein Industries Canada. She works closely with industry partners, governments, and stakeholders to advance Canada’s plant-based food, feed, and ingredient ecosystem.

Jill brings experience in strategic communications, public affairs, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. She spent nearly 20 years as a TV news journalist before joining Farm Credit Canada in both media and government relations. She also spent time as an executive director in communications and media relations at the Government of Saskatchewan.

Jill is focused on building strong relationships, fostering collaboration and driving innovation to realize Canada’s potential as a global leader in value-added food and ingredient production.
