

Board of Directors & Governance

Protein Industries Canada’s Board of Directors is responsible for the strategic direction, fiduciary oversight and risk management of the organization. Protein Industries Canada is committed to diversity and gender-parity within its Board of Directors.
In 2022-23, one new board member, Dave Donnan, was elected to the board of directors at the AGM in September of 2022. With this election, Protein Industries Canada reached its goal of gender parity, while also bringing the right mix of skills and expertise to support the long-term success of the organization.
During the fiscal year 2022-23, board meetings were held both virtually and in person. Over the course of the year, the board met nine times. In addition, a one-day virtual board orientation for the new board member was held, along with two in-person strategic planning sessions.
There are two committees of the board: Governance and Nominating, and Audit and Finance.
Committees meet in advance of regular board meetings.
