Protein Industries Canada names Frank Hart as Interim CEO
- Posted:
Protein Industries Canada has announced that Frank Hart will become interim CEO while the search for a permanent CEO takes place. Bill Greuel previously announced that he was departing Protein Industries Canada at the end of July to become the Deputy Minister of Agriculture at the Government of Saskatchewan.
Frank is no stranger to Protein Industries Canada, serving as a board member since 2018, and serving as Chair from 2018-2023. In being named Interim CEO, Frank has resigned from the board of directors effective immediately. The board position will remain vacant until Protein Industries Canada’s AGM on Sept. 11, 2024. Frank has also ceased all external consulting work and will be full-time on contract for Protein Industries Canada.
As interim CEO, Frank will focus on the future of the organization and securing Canada’s value-added processing ecosystem, providing stability to stakeholders and staff. Day-to-day and operational duties, including project approval and management will be managed by senior staff. Senior staff, not including the interim CEO, will represent Protein Industries Canada on all Project Selection Committee meetings.
The search for a permanent CEO is currently underway.
