Program Manager

Jerlene brings a diverse set of experiences in the agrifood research and innovation space, which include roles at the Crop Development Centre at the University of Saskatchewan and companies such as Corteva (Dupont Pioneer), and Novozymes Bio-Ag.

Prior to Protein Industries Canada, she was the Sector Innovation Manager at Genome Prairie where she worked with applicant teams to develop ideas into fundable projects and generate a robust pipeline of applied and end-user-driven opportunities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, and her doctorate in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the University of Guelph.

A self-proclaimed foodie, she loves to spend her spare time trying and eating new recipes in the kitchen and enjoys the outdoors with her family.
